Natural History Museum of Mozambique is being revitalized
Since mid-2023, the Natural History Museum in Maputo has been temporarily closed for a major restoration project funded by Italy and the RINO Programme. The initiative aims to modernize the museum’s infrastructure — including improved accessibility, updated exhibits, a café, and bookstore — and elevate its scientific and educational mission in preserving Mozambique’s unique biodiversity.
